Smita is a GHG Auditor at Sustainext, currently engaged in an offshore assignment where she specializes in the validation and verification of carbon removal projects. With more than five years of experience in climate change and sustainability, she has previously worked with certification bodies as a Validator/Verifier, primarily focusing on renewable energy initiatives. Her expertise also includes developing a Coal Transition Methodology and supporting project development aligned with CDM and Verra standards.
A Gold Medallist in M.Tech Environmental Engineering, Smita holds professional certifications in ISO 14064, ISO 14067, and ISO 17029.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and creating handcrafts.
