As at Sustainability Consultant at Sustainext, Varun supports the deployment of ESG modules across industries by combining domain expertise with technology to improve ESG performance. His work includes assessments, gap analysis, target setting, and platform-driven data monitoring and reporting aligned with global frameworks, along with carbon footprinting, Scope 1–3 emissions, and resource tracking initiatives. With over 10 years of experience across utilities, food, chemicals, packaging, and technology sectors, he has led materiality assessments, ESG roadmaps, and disclosures aligned with Global Reporting Initiative and SEBI BRSR requirements.
He holds an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering and a B.Tech in Biotechnology, along with professional certifications in ESG and safety.
Outside of work, Varun enjoys playing cricket and table tennis, reading, tracking stock markets, and gardening.
